Newburyport

Newburyport is a small, beautiful, coastal city located in Essex County, MA. This old seaport has a large tourism industry, but it also has a long history of ship building and some of the shipyards are still active today. It will come as no surprise that Newburyport is the home of the first United States Coast Guard station and the place the first clipper ship was built.

Amesbury

Amesbury is located along the rushing waters of the Powow and Merrimack Rivers. A former farming and mill town, Amesbury has evolved into a largely residential city known for its collection of buildings in the Federal and Victorian architectural styles. Amesbury’s restored historic downtown has a variety of restaurants, art galleries, and shops.

North Reading

The town of Reading was settled in 1651 and North Reading was officially incorporated in 1853. Large farmsteads were granted along the Ipswich River resulting in an economy based on subsistence farming as well as the production of lumber from sawmills. Today, the town center retains its historic fabric with a Federal style meeting house and  a well-preserved district of period houses.

South Hamilton

Hamilton was first settled in 1638 as a part of Ipswich known as "The Hamlet" and today includes many historic houses along with pastoral landscapes and old stone walls. This beautiful town provides easy access to the Atlantic seashore and has a rich equestrian heritage. Hamilton shares many of its town services, including a school system and library, with neighboring Wenham.

Ipswich

Ipswich was founded in 1630 by the son of John Winthrop, one of the original founders of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. This idyllic coastal town is located on the scenic shoreline where Plum Island Sound and the mouth of the Ipswich River converge. As a destination for tourists, Ipswich is home to many attractions that include The Crane Estate at Castle Hill and Sandy Point State Reservation.
